Acer palmatum ‘Orangeola’(Ay-ser pahl-MAY-tum)
Aka, AKO. Deeply cut, weeping dissectum to 4′-6′. Bright red-orange new foliage. Color fades to green red in summer. New growth in summer is orange, giving a good mix of orange, red and green leaves. Fall color is orange red, holding until late fall, sometimes until December. Large 5-7 lobed, vigourus and upright growing. Nice attractive cascading mound. Can take full sun, but would do well with some shade. Prefers well drained, moist soils.
