You are purchasing three plants grown in  individual  #1 (one gallon) size containers. The plants  you are purchasing are approximately 1-2 years old, up to 1'-2' tall now with 1-3 culms(canes).

Fargesia dracocephala ‘Rufa’

Common name:  Sunset glow bamboo.Hardy, vigorous non-running bamboo.

We love this clumping bamboo (non-running) here at the nursery. It is a vigorous and hardy grower. We had three nights of 9º f temperatures in the winter of 2009-2010 and it was unaffected by the freeze, even our potted ones were fine! If you were to have only one bamboo plant, this might be it. It’s extremely hardy to -10º f to -20º f and it takes full sun too. We can get over 100º f for many days straight in the summer. It will probably need shelter in the South from hot sun especially if you have high humidity too. Purple red sheaths on new culms. Very vigorous, rapid growth and cold hardy. Dense, slightly weeping habit. Wind tolerant.  Prefers organic soils with good drainage. Thrives in sun and also tolerates shade.

Height x Diameter: Ht 8′-10′x.5″
Minimum temperature: Hardy to -10ºf-20ºf
USDA zone 5-9.
Light: Full sun to part shade
Culm: Green with orange-red
Uses: Specimen, hedge, container, screen
Distribution:Gansu China
Spread: Clumping

The last photo is an example of a #1 Fargesia 'Rufa', however, it is not the exact plant that you will receive.  It is grown in a #1, 1 gallon, size pot which is removed and your plants are shrink wrapped in plastic for shipping purposes.
