Cedrus Atlantica 'Atlas Cedar'

 

The Atlas Cedar is native to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. It is an evergreen conifer that grows in a pyramidal shape. Blue-green needles spiral around its irregular branches. It grows to 40’-50’ tall by 20’-25’ wide.  It does best in full sun but can tolerate shade. It can take most types of soil including clay and sand but does not like prolonged wet soils. It is very drought tolerant and requires little water once established.
