Pinot Gris #146

The Pinot Gris (also know as the Pinot Grigio ) is a mutation of the Pinot Noir. The Pinot Gris #146 is a clone of the Pinot Gris. It’s an ancient variety grown world wide and does well in all parts of the U.S. It has blue/gray to pinkish/gray grapes that have a rich fruity flavor with characters of grapefruit. Grapes can vary in color from year to year, from gray/blue to brown/pink. It produce a clear golden dry wine of excellent quality. It is an early ripening clone, ripening in September to October. It does well in a cool climate. Disease-resistant.

Grapes should be pruned back extensively while dormant. Grapes are self pollinating but will do better with another one nearby.

There’s nothing quite like homegrown grapes on a warm summer day. Their sweetness and burst of flavor are unmatched! Grape vines are an attractive addition to any garden and can be trained to grow up arbors and around fences where they can create a living barrier or enclosed space.

We grow several different types of grapes including table grapes, seedless grapes and the ever-popular concord grapes.
