Semiarundinaria fastuosa 'Viridis’ Temple Bamboo

This is the green form of the species Semiarundinaria fastuosa. Temple Bamboo is a tall, erect, columnar bamboo that will grow to almost 35′, making it a great selection for narrow areas. Most of the foliage is on the top 1/2 to 1/3 of the culm. This variety of Temple Bamboo has green culms.  Although a runner, it is not as aggressive as most bamboos.  Temple bamboo creates a dense forming screen or hedge. It makes a very nice container plant.
