Black Monukka Seedless Grape

The Black Monukka grape is a hardy, seedless European variety. It is thought to have originated from a Persian grape 'Munaqqa', which translate to raisin. Its fruit is large oval shape, purplish-black, sweet and crisp. Excellent for all uses, especially fresh or raisins. The vines are vigorous and productive, ripening early to mid season around August to September. It is one of the hardiest European grape varieties, down to a USDA zone 6 which is 0f to -10f. Grapes should be pruned back extensively while dormant. Grapes are self pollinating but will do better with another one nearby.

There’s nothing quite like homegrown grapes on a warm summer day. Their sweetness and burst of flavor are unmatched! Grape vines are an attractive addition to any garden and can be trained to grow up arbors and around fences where they can create a living barrier or enclosed space.

We grow several different types of grapes including table grapes, seedless grapes and the ever-popular concord grapes.
