This compact cultivar of the clumping Bamboo multiplex usually reaches 9-10'. This is a great, tropical looking bamboo with tiny leaves. It has yellow culms and makes an excellent hedge. It’s hardy to 12° F-15° F, but should be protected from very cold conditions. Any of the Bambusa multiplex’s would do well in the southern United States.
