This compact cultivar of the clumping Bamboo multiplex usually reaches 9-10'. This is a great, tropical looking bamboo with tiny leaves. It almost resembles Oregon’s native Sword Fern. It has yellow culms and makes an excellent hedge. It’s hardy to 12° F-15° F, but should be protected from very cold conditions. We have seen it survive an over night temperature of 5f. Any of the Bambusa multiplex’s would do well in the southern United States.
