Borinda Boliana 'Himalayan Blue Mountain' Bamboo
The Borinda boliana is one of the fastest and tallest growing temperate bamboos. It is native to Sichuan, China where it can possible grow to 50′ tall, however, here in the Pacific North West it will most likely grow to 20′-25′. With its feathery green foliage on arching blue canes, the Borinda boliana makes a nice clumping hedge or screen. It can tolerate a fair amount of summer heat, however in hot areas it is best with some afternoon shade. It is definitely a plant worth considering.
