The Decora bamboo is a cold hardy giant timber reaching up to 30′ and hardy to -10°F. It performs very well under stress of desert heat, drought, or cold. It has massive drooping leaves on straight, upright culms. It is a native to the Yangtze valley of China. The decora shoots up early in the year, with colorful culm sheaths and red to purple new shoots.
