Phyllostachys Dulcis 'Sweet Shoot' Bamboo
The Dulcis, or Sweet shoot, is a type of running bamboo that has large, thick culms for its short size. You would typically find this size culm on a much taller bamboo. Its shoots are prized for their tasty, early season production. Culms are green to blue with a white ring developing around them. Occasionally there are yellow stripes running up the culms. Sweet shoot has large, dark green drooping leaves, giving it a very full look. It is a quick growing bamboo, making it a great choice for a screen, hedge or grove. Takes full sun. Height is typically 40'x3".
