It has ornate seed heads which provide interest to a winter garden and act as a shelter for songbirds. When planted in multiples, the Northwind can be used as a reliable and attractive background, but easily stands alone as a specimen grass as well. It’s green foliage changes into yellow with the coming of fall. It is easy to grow and is pest free.
