'Crandall Black' Currant
Clusters of large black currants ripen with sweet tart flavor that is excellent for jams, juice, and syrup. Crandall Black Currants have 5 times the vitamin C of oranges! They grow on a gorgeous upright bush with dark green leaves. This highly productive currant ripens in mid July. Hardy in zones 2-8.

Growing Tips
Currants grow easily in the Northwest, all over the west coast and U.S. In fact, there are some Ribes species that are native to our area! They are hardy plants that can survive well here. Plant them in fertile, well-drained soil and watch them thrive.
Height: 4'-6', but can be kept smaller with some pruning.
Minimum temperature: Hardy to -40ºf to -50ºf.

The last photo is an example of a #2 (2 gallon) Crandall Black Currant, however, it is not the exact plant that you will receive. Your plant will be approximately 2 years old and 2'-4' tall. Plants shipped in late Fall through early Spring may be pruned back. They may not have foliage as well.
