Hibanobambusa Tranquillans 'Shiroshima' Bamboo

The Shiroshima has a very large leaf with variegated green and cream/white colors. It is probably a hybrid/cross between a Phyllostachys and Sasa. Although it prefers shade, when it is grown in a full sun location the edges of the leaves develop a slight purple to pink coloration. Shiroshima in its native habitat is an under story plant, growing in shadier locations. However, we grow ours in a full sun location and have nothing but great results with it.

The last photo is an example of a #1 (1 gallon) Hibanobambusa tranquillans ‘Shiroshima’, however, it is not the exact plant that you will receive. Your plant will be approximately 2-3  years old,  3'-4' tall, with multiple culms (canes).
