Liberty apple
The Liberty is a medium to large, bright red apple with crunchy, white flesh and a sweet and tart flavor. It is a “McIntosh” style of apple. It is best for fresh eating, baking and cider. The Liberty Apple is very resistant apple fire blight, scab, mildew and rust. Apples do best in full sun with well draining soil. It is a heavy producer that ripens late September through early October. It is hardy in USDA zones 5-8. It requires another apple nearby for pollination.

Ripens: Sept.-Oct.
Pollination and Ripening
Pollination and Ripening
Most apple varieties are not self-pollinating. Plant at least two different apple trees for cross-pollination, ensuring they bloom simultaneously. Alternatively, consider self-pollinating cultivars.
