Phyllostachys Aureosulcata 'Harbin Inversa' Bamboo

The Harbin Inversa is a rare, newly discovered yellow bamboo with green stripes. It is truly a gem and will look wonderful in as a hedge or container plant.   It is in the Phyllostachys aureosulcata, or Crookstem Bamboo group. Like all Crookstem Bamboo, the Harbin Inversa will develop sharp bending on some of its culms down low by the base. The Harbin Inversa will develop bright red to orange coloring on its young culms early in the Summer, after the culms have been up out of the ground for a while. It is extremely hardy and makes a great screen or hedge. It will grow to 25'-30' tall with 2" culms (canes). It can take full sun to part shade, but the colors will be best in full sun. It is rated for USDA plant zones 5-10
