Phyllostachys nigra ‘Bory’ is a black giant timber, with spots of mahogany/black on green culms, usually on two year old culms. This form of black grows much taller than Phyllostachys nigra, to 50’x3″. It is hardy to 0°F. Its foliage is narrow and dense. Like most giant timber, it prefers full sun.
