Phyllostachys Nuda 'Nude Sheath' Bamboo
This is the most cold hardy of all phyllostachys bamboo, surviving well below zero, reportedly even as cold as -20°F with only some leaf loss. This is the bamboo for all you Northerners!! New culms1 emerge dark purple, almost black. Culms eventually fade to dark green.
