This is a rare version of Pleioblastus simonii. The foliage grows off of very straight culms and is long and narrow, with some leaves being all green to others being deeply variegated green and white. It is a medium sized bamboo, growing to about 20′. It is a great choice for erosion control or as wind break in a highly windy area, especially along coastal areas as it will take salt air.
