Ficus Carica 'Magnolia' Fig
The Magnolia Fig (Ficus carica 'Magnolia') is a medium to large size fig with reddish brown skin and amber to strawberry colored flesh. It is a cold hardy, fast growing tree. The figs are good for eating fresh or canning. They are juicy and sweet tasting. It ripens from mid July to late August. Because of its open eye it is best suited for areas that do not have excessively wet summers. Fruit can sour quickly so it is best to harvest just before it is ripe. It will mature at 10'-15'.
