Metasequoia glyptostroboides ‘Amber Glow’
Dawn Redwoods are fast-growing deciduous conifers prized for their soft, feathery foliage and strong, upright growth habit. Unlike most evergreens, they shed their needles in fall, providing seasonal interest and making them easier to manage in residential landscapes. They are commonly used as specimen trees, shade trees, or focal points in large gardens and open spaces, and they adapt well to a range of soil conditions when given adequate moisture.
‘Amber Glow’ is a standout cultivar known for its vivid golden-yellow foliage that holds its color throughout the growing season. As temperatures cool, the foliage transitions to warm amber and copper tones, adding striking fall color before dropping. Its narrow, pyramidal form makes it ideal for landscapes where vertical interest is desired without excessive width, and it performs exceptionally well as a statement tree in both residential and commercial settings.
