Phyllostachys Aurea 'Koi' Bamboo

This type of Golden bamboo is very similar to the species, with the exception that the culm (cane) and branches are a golden yellow  with green striping in the inter nodes.  Like Golden, the nodes are compressed on the lower portion of the culm.  This is a very colorful bamboo, sometimes showing a little variegation in the leaves and picking up a tint of red from the sun, like the Crookstems.  The Koi makes a great screen or hedge due to its low growing limbs and foliage.

The last photo is an example of a #1 (1 gallon) Phyllostachys Aurea 'Koi', however, it is not the exact plant that you will receive. Your plant will be approximately 1-2 years old, 1'-3' tall, with 1-3 culms (canes).
