Pollination and Ripening
Pollination and Ripening
The Black Satin is self-pollinating, meaning that a single plant can produce fruit without the need for cross-pollination from another plant. However, planting multiple bushes can increase yields. They typically ripen in mid-summer, offering a generous harvest for eager gardeners. The plant begins bearing fruit in its second year after planting, ensuring a relatively quick return on investment.
