Non running bamboo, tropical to hardy.
This group includes both hardy and non-hardy types of non running bamboos. It includes: Bambusa, Borinda, Chusquea, Fargesia, Thamnocalamus and Yushania. Hardiness ranges from 15° F down to -20° F. Heights range from 8′-25′. The Fargesia are by far the most cold hardy. The Bambusa is nice for southern states where the combination of heat and humidity can be fatal for other types of clumping bamboo
